Frances Smith and David Stephenson of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, in the courtyard of the Wyndham Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, with the Rev. Charles Cross officiating.
Parents of the couple are the late Jimmy C. Smith of Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Morgan of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. T.I. Stephenson III of Knoxville, Tenn.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Miller Woods of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney L. Smith of Bailey.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. T.I. Stephenson Jr. of Knoxville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Nagel of Philadelphia, Pa.
Music for the ceremony was provided by C. David Williams of New Orleans.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Monty R. Morgan of Enterprise. She wore an Eden imported Italian satin A-line gown that flowed into a chapel-length train adorned with seed pearls. Her veil fell from a tiara of crystal jewels and pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Matron of honor was Melinda Leager of Meridian, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Denise McMullen of Meridian. Other attendants were Jill Davidson of Meridian and Caryn Anlage of Ridgeland. Flower girl was Samantha Morgan, niece of the bride.
Best men were Brent Stephenson of Meridian, son of the bridegroom, and Gary Stephenson of Maui, Hawaii, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were J. Stewart Parrish and Gary B. Jones, both of Meridian.
Charles B. "Trey" Leager III, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held in St. Mary's cottage at the hotel after the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, the couple resides in Meridian.
