Gene Ray Bolton, 70, formerly of Russellville, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 at VA Hospital, Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was proud to be a Veteran.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. J.C. Hand officiating.  Interment was at Jonesboro Cemetery.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Bolton and wife, Sarah, Thomas Smith; nieces, Vicki Galloway and husband, Mack, Stacey Weeks and husband, Kevin; nephews, Marty Bolton and wife, Sheryl, Dallas Bolton and wife, Carolyn, Tracy Bolton and wife, Deborah; great-nieces, Alicia Bolton, Ashley Weeks, Brooke Bolton, Cheyenne Bolton, Heather Black; great-nephews, Trenton Bolton, Riley Bolton, Tyrel Bolton, Hunter Bolton, Levi Bolton, Zachary Bolton, Kenneth Weeks, Bradley Hill, Kevin Hill, Heath Hill, Sean Kling; and a host of friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vollie and Lucille Bolton; sister, Nila Jo Black; nephews, Michael Black, Zan Reece Black; nieces, Sonya Black Trapp, Julie Black.
The pallbearers were Larry Sherrill, Wayne Peden, Bradley Hill, Kevin Hill, Heath Hill, Marty Bolton, Dallas Bolton, and Tracy Bolton.
