Vina wins county track meet for fourth year

Vina wins county track meet for fourth year

The Vina Lady Red Devils won the 2026 Franklin County track championship. It was the school’s four straight county track championship.

Sophomore Samantha Elders placed first in 110meter hurdles, tied second in high jump and placed third in long jump.

Sophomore Olivia Crum placed first in triple jump, first in 300-meter hurdles and third in 100 meters.

Junior Kenzie Elrod placed second in 100 meters, third in110 meters hurdles and fourth in 4×100 relay.

Junior Lana Bell placed first in discus, fourth in 4×100 relay and sixth in shot put.

Junior Layla Hester tied for second in high jump, placed fourth in triple jump and placed fourth in 4×100 relay.

Freshman Addysn Pannell placed first in high jump, third in triple jump and eighth in long jump.

Bella Creekmore placed eighth in 800 meters and javelin.

Eighth graders Lindie Easterling placed first in 3200 meters, second in 1600 meters and sixth in 800 meters.

Cecilia Rowbottom placed third in javelin, third in shot put and sixth in discus.

Miley Pannell placed fourth in 300 hurdles, fourth in 4×100 relay, sixth in 100 meters and seventh in 200 meters.

Seventh grader Kinsley Newton placed second 3200 meters and fourth in1600 meters.
