Nova Lee Williams, 100, of Bertrand, Mo. died Friday, May 20, 2011 at Miner Nursing Center.  She was born in Double Springs, Ala. to the late Walter and Nora Curtis Jackson.  Moving to Matthews in 1944, she lived in New Madrid and Mississippi counties most of her life.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Matthews.  On June 20, 1928, she married Claude Williams, who preceded her in death in 1981.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 23, 2011 at Dempsey Cemetery, Russellville, Ala. with Bro. Jeff Horton officiating.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala. assisted the family.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Morrow, of Bertrand, Mo. and Elba Ness, Rochester, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, J.C. Williams; daughter, Eulene Spearman; nine brothers and sisters.
