L. C. Odom, 83, of Phil Campbell, Ala., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at ECM Hospital.

Mr. Odom lived his entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Spruce Pine Baptist Church.  He was a member of Spruce Pine Masonic Lodge #608 for 50 years and Russellville Eastern Star #256.  He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 16, 2011, 2 p.m. at Spruce Pine Baptist Church with Ernie Presley and Jim Poss officiating. Burial will be in Spruce Pine Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Cora Mae Odom, of Phil Campbell; children, Freida McKay and husband, Mark, of Spruce Pine, Jane Wingo and husband, Joe, of Spruce Pine, James Neal Odom and wife, Joyce, of Russellville, Kathy Odom Hawkins and her husband, Joe, of Vidor, Texas; sisters, Esther Porter, of Russellville, Imogene Smith, of Russellville; brother, Jack Odom, of Spruce Pine; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary bearers will be the Mason’s.

He was preceded in death by wife, Lucile Odom; parents, James and Kittie Leigh Odom; children, Leon Odom, Billy Odom, Sammy Odom, Margaret Shook; brothers and sisters, Geneva Dunn, Vernell Smith, J. B. Odom and Frances Pounders.
