Fernando A. Garcia, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Fla.
He was a native of Mexico but had lived in Russellville since 1998. He was employed with Sara Lee Foods in Florence.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Alfonso Alvarado officiating. Burial was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lidia Soto; mother, Marcelina Garcia; children, Fernando Garcia, Jr., and Camila Garcia; mother-in-law, Aurora Garcia; father-in-law, Francisco Javier Soto; grandmothers, Ofelia Ortiz and Lorenza Garcia; brothers, Jose Luis Garcia, Genaro Garcia; sisters, Irene Moore, Beatriz Garcia, Angelica Garcia, Margarita Garcia; brothers-in-law, Ali Moore, Vincente Soto, Omar Bustamante, Ernesto Pano, Carlos Iturbide; sisters-in-law, Patricia Pano, Guadalupe Soto, Lucia Navarette; a host of nieces and nephews, aunties and uncles, and lots of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Garcia.
The family wants to thank everyone who gave flowers and came to support the family in their sorrow.
