Carlton D. Grissom, 79, of Hayden, Ala. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at his residence.  He was born Jan. 3, 1932 in Mississippi to Selmer and Ophelia Davis Grissom. He was owner of Grissom Appliance Service and attended Locust Fork Church of God.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala.  Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

He is survived by two children, Gina Harmon and husband, Greg and Jeff Grissom and wife, Tina, all of Helena, Ala.; three grandchildren, Jessica Folmar and husband, Elliott, of Chelsey, Ala., Emily Gallant, of Helena, Ala. and Reanna Swinford and husband, Julian, of Pelham, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Folmar, Caden Swinford and Juliana Swinford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
