Price Millard Copeland, 72, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at ECM Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Officiating at the service will be Bro. Jackie Richardson and Bro. Charlie Britnell. Interment will be in Allen McWright Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Price and Maelynn Copeland; brother, Herschel Copeland; and infant sister.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Daphine Smith Copeland; children, James Millard “Jamie” Copeland and wife, Ann, Dora Lynn Johnson, William Hudson Copeland and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Ashley Cummins and husband, James, Jon Copeland, McKinley Copeland, Britney Anne Stancil, Benjamin John Stancil, Lauren Copeland; great-grandchildren, Gavin Cummins, Mason Cummins; brothers, Charles Copeland, Rucian Copeland, Lucian Copeland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Daniel Bagwell, Charles Copeland, Jr., Glenn Copeland, Charley Riner, Hershel Garrison, and Derrick Copeland.  Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Steve Copeland, Scott Copeland, Shane Copeland, Dustin Copeland, Brandon Wheeler, Greg Wheeler, Brian McCarley; and his bluegrass friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at ECM; as well as the family and friends that have shown love and support.
