Azalee Massey, 66, of Red Bay passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at her niece’s home in Red Bay.  She was born Sept. 16, 1944 in Itawamba County, Miss. to Hobson and Rosie West Vick.  She was an employee of Golden Manufacturing.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at Old Burleson Cemetery in Vina, Ala. with Bro. Daniel Heath Yielding officiating.  Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Dale Massey, of Vina, Ala.; one grandson, Michael Massey, of Vina, Ala.; six sisters, Dessie Dees, Jessie Phene Cleveland and Pearlene Garrison, all of Red Bay, Ala., Evelyn Lovett and husband, Gene, of Tuscumbia, Ala., Wilma Lou Darby and husband, Roger, Mooreville, Miss. and Emma Lee Dietz and husband, Mark, of Texas; two brothers, Z.L. Vick and wife, Joyce, Golden, Miss. and Oneal Vick and wife, Jan, of  Hamilton, Ala.; niece and  caregiver, Peggy Petitti and husband, Tom, of Red Bay, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Massey; granddaughter, Alisha Massey; her parents; two sisters, Bessie Young and Grace Fortner.

Pallbearers were be Jeff Brooks, Larry Young, Nickey Garrison, Jessie Atkinson, M.L. Vick and Ray Credille.
