Johnny H. Hargett, 77, of Muscle Shoals, Ala. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Shoals Hospital.

He was a native of Franklin County and member of Bethsaida Baptist Church.  He was a retired stone cutter from Alabama Limestone.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at Franklin Memory Gardens with Tony Gasaway officiating.  Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Hargett, of Muscle Shoals; son, Bobby Hargett and wife, Dian, of Tuscumbia; daughter, Linda Gable and husband, John, of Russellville; step-children, Phillip Fretwell and wife, Cara, of Muscle Shoals, Benjamin Fretwell, Glen Fretwell, both of California; sister, Joy Puckett, of Vina; brother, Stanley Hargett and wife, Carol, of Lexington; grandchildren, Lisa Freeman and husband, Jimmy, Robin Hargett, Melinda Hargett, Bobby Hargett, Ashley Vandiver, T. J. Vandiver, Megan Pigg, Morgan Hall; great-grandchildren, J. C. Freeman, Tyler Freeman, Jennifer Hargett, Breanna Eaton, Emily Black, and Saylor Jo Hall.

Pallbearers were Phillip Fretwell, Ethan Hall, Bennie Pigg, John Gable, T. J. Vandiver and Zach Black.

Honorary bearers were Benjamin Fretwell, Glen Fretwell, and men’s adult Sunday school class.

He was preceded in death by parents, Archie Lee and Lou Estelle Hargett.
