Hershell R.Yocom, 91, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at his home.

He lived his entire life in Franklin County and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with Loyd Griffith officiating.  Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.

He is survived by daughter, Peggy May and husband, Roger, of Phil Campbell; daughter-in-law, Nellie M. Yocom Riley, of New Braunfels, Texas; sisters, Scdiear Sherwood, of Russellville, Elanore Feltmon and husband, William, of Russellville, Burma Bishop, of Adrian, Mich.; brother, J. W. Yocom and wife, Peggy, of Russellville; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Gertha Yocom; parents, Jessie and Ellie Yocom; son, Jerry Dewayne Yocom; grandson, Timothy Dewayne Yocom.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.
