Doris Gaines McClain Stancil, 86, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Rose Manor in Haleyville. 

The visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov, 6, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral will follow in the chapel.  Officiating at the service will be Bro. Bobby Stancil and Bro. Clint Bustler.  Burial will be in Phil Campbell Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Stancil; her parents, Rhuel and Ruby Viola McClain; one brother; and two sisters.

 She is survived by her children, daughter, Jane Elizabeth Voyles and husband, Tommy, of Spruce Pine; sons: Mervin Leon Stancil, Jr. and wife, Marty, of Louisiana, and John Ervin Stancil and wife, Pauline, of Littleville, Ala.; grandchildren, Ginger Stancil Hill, Sara Stancil Myrick, Abbigale Celeste Voyles; great-grandchildren, Lucas Hill, Cooper Myrick, and Corbin Myrick; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
