Barbara Jean Shelnutt, 67, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at her residence.
The visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Heath Yielding. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery of Phil Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Donnie Duboise; and brother, Euley Duboise.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd L. Shelnutt; children, Myra Mercado and husband, Octavio, and Mel Shelnutt and wife, Laura; grandchildren, John David Mercado, Monica Mercado, Anne Marie Mercado; brother, Arlon Duboise; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice of North Alabama for the love and care shown to Mrs. Shelnutt during her illness.
