Margaret M. Fortenberry, 84, of Alabaster, passed away on Oct. 17, 2010.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Whitley, and her husband, H.A. Fortenberry.

Survivors include her children; Peggy Gilley and husband, Jimmy, Ronnie Motes and his wife, Barbara, and Donna Overton; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home October 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. with burial in Cedar Grove with Rev. Mike Shaw officiating.

The family would like to thank Burns Nursing Home for the wonderful care given during the last year and to Russellville Healthcare and Dr. Kelly and Dr. Loren McCoy.
