Fleta Mills Swinney, 76, of Red Bay, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at the Red Bay Hospital.  She was born Oct. 13, 1934 in Red Bay and attended Grace Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay with Bro. Mike Haynes officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Swinney, of Red Bay; one son, Chuck Swinney, of Red Bay; two step-children, Jennie Peters, of Baldwyn, Miss. and Jeanette Newton, of Guntown, Miss.; one sister, Trillia Bishop, of Red Bay; three grandchildren, Barry Lofton and Samantha Mills, both of Red Bay and Amber Martinez, of Mexico City Beach, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and special family members, Delores and Keith Daily.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Clovis and Julia Bernice Nix Creekmore.

Pallbearers were Keith Daily, Barry Lofton, Chris Strickland, Bud Strickland, Josh Daily and Mark Carlton.
