Verda Mae Lawler, 68, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Mickey Crane and David Sanderson officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
She is survived by her son, Keith Lawler and wife, Teresa, of Vina; sisters, Lucille McCarley, of Phil Campbell, Ruby Nell Cochran, of Hackleburg, Madie Stancil, of Hackleburg; brother, Clyde Hill and wife, Lavoni, of Phil Campbell; grandchildren Dustin Lawler and wife, Lindsey, Jared Lawler and wife, Morgan, Benji Jones and Julianna Jones; great-granddaughter, Brilee Lawler.
Pallbearers were Dustin Lawler, Jared Lawler, Benji Jones, Rodney Anglin, Jason Anglin and Joseph Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by husband, Verdo Lawler; infant son, Robert Lawler; parents, Ed and Bell Hill; brothers, Alvin Hill, R.C. Hill, Bud Hill, Dewey Hill; sisters Donie Welborn and Alton Elrod.
