J.D. Ergle, 74, of Phil Campbell, Ala. died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 at Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. John McCullar officiating. Interment was in Blue Springs Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
Pallbearers were William Kinard, Kelly Ergle, Jay Steward, Chris Ergle, Drew Ergle, and Shane Ergle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Ada McCallister Ergle; sister, Bonnie Faye Ergle; brothers, Edgar Ergle, M.C. Ergle, H.D. Ergle and Loyd Ergle; and granddaughter, Theresa Sutherland.
He is survived by children, Sue Sutherland, Barbara Kinard, Belinda Steward, Janice Ashcraft, Allen Ergle and Alex Ergle; sisters, Mary Ruth Williams, Cordelia Andras, Nina Lou Bray; brothers, Cecil Ergle, Milton Ergle; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
