Stanley Harbin, 72, of Golden, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at Red Bay Hospital.  He was born in Itawamba County, Miss. to Verlon Byron and Velma Woodham Harbin.  He was a truck driver and was of the Holiness faith.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Charles Johnston and Bro. James Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Golden, Miss.

He is survived by his wife, Francis Smith Harbin; one son, Mike Harbin and wife, Lynn, of Burnsville; two daughters, Lori Harbin (Bryan Kent), of Golden, and Mary Beth Cobb, of Fulton, Miss.; grandchildren, Joel Harbin, of Golden, Brandon Harbin and wife, Jani, of Tishomingo, Miss., Adreanna Harbin and Jeannie Harbin, both of Tupelo, Miss., Lacy Taylor and Rodney Taylor, both of Booneville, Lindsay Garrison, of Fulton, Miss. and Katie Cobb and Justin Cobb, both of Mooreville, Miss.; four great-grandchildren, Evan Goss, Jayce Taylor, C.J. Taylor and Gianna Arvonio; one sister, Faye Grubbs, of Mantachie, Miss.; two brothers, J.R. Harbin, of Mantachie, Miss. and Edkar “Doc” Harbin, of Skyline, Miss.; special sister-in-law, Joann Harbin, of Mantachie, Miss.; and special friend, Jerry Liles, of Skyline, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Bobby” Harbin; mother-in-law, Clara Tucker Smith; six brothers, Wilburn, Elvin, Arlon, William “Bill”, Carlos and Jerry Harbin.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Harbin, Joel Harbin, Danny Smith, Mel Harbin, Billy Harbin, Kevin Smith, Ken Grubbs and Larry Harbin.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Harbin, Eddie Harbin and Billy Smith.
