Sidney Athel Hargett

August 1, 2010

Sidney Athel Hargett, 84, of Belgreen, Ala. passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010.

He was a lifetime resident of Franklin County and was owner of Hargett Trucking and Excavating for many years in Tuscumbia.

Graveside services were held Monday, August 2, 2010, at Belgreen Cemetery with Frank Billingham officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Hargett; son, Neal Hargett; grandsons, Jamey, Jeremy and Jake Hargett; great-grandchildren, Holly and Gunter Hargett; sister, Faye Green; brothers, Grady, Leon, Johnny and Jimmy “Cotton” Hargett.

He was preceded in death by parents, Sid and Lurlie Duncan Hargett; sisters, Lillian Thorn and Vivian Taylor; and brother, Billy Hargett.
