All-Stars fall in Sylacauga

Russellville fell to Huntsville-Eastern 6-1 Thursday in the winners’ bracket finals at the state tournament in Sylacauga.

Joshua Seal hit a solo home run to supply Russellville with its only run of the night. Trey Williams had the team’s only other hit, a single.

Taylor Vincent, Austin Odom and Austin Kitterman split pitching duties.

Russellville played Westside-Mobile Friday night for a spot in the championship game, but it concluded too late to be included in today’s edition of The Franklin County Times.
