John J. Clark, 89, of Chicago, Ill., died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Mr. Clark was a native of Franklin County, Ala. but had lived in Chicago for the past 57 years.  He was a member of the Baptist church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was retired from Ford Motor Company.

Funeral services were held July 19, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville.  Burial was in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg, Ala. 

He is survived by son, John H. Clark and wife, Janice, Hammond, Ind.; daughter, Mary Jane Farrell, Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, J. Brian Clark, Marcelline Wallin, Christina Cornelius, Todd Berry, Meghan Agredano, Jim Pierce, Sheila Herrod, and Stacey Cupola; and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Virginia Clark; parents, Charles and Mary Clark; daughter, Sarah Ann Pierce; great-grandchild, Haley Rose Cornelius; son-in-law, Jack Farrell.
