Golden Tigers end season at East Limestone

CAPSHAW — Russellville scratched and clawed to reach the playoffs, but the Golden Tigers struggled on the road in the first round and were sent home following a sweep by East Limestone.

The Golden Tigers held a 9-2 lead in the opening game, but the Indians rallied to pull out a 12-10 victory.

The Indians went on to win the series with a 12-8 win in the second game. East Limestone will advance to play the winner of the Hartselle-Lee series.
