Services for Jeff Aikens will be held Saturday at noon at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Russell with the Rev. Terry Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James L. Osby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Aikens, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Guardian Angel Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Aikens, nine children, Lonzell Aikens and his wife, Willie Mae, and Louis Aikens and his wife, Janie Mae, all of Meridian; Earnestine Pritchett and Ethel Aikens and her husband, Melvin, Onnie Aikens, Louise Neal and her husband, Spencer, all of Chicago; Katie Green and her husband, Harold, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Robert Aikens and his wife Shirley; and Vera Willis and her husband, George, of Opacke, Okla.; and 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at the church.
Laborer
DEKALB Services for Eddie D. Adams will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery in DeKalb with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adams, 56, of DeKalb, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his sons, Gregory Adams of Jackson, Terry Gordon of Meridian; a daughter, Gateretta Adams of Jackson; two grandsons; sisters, Lillie Hampton, Ennie Hudson, Rosie Adams and Jeanette Adams, all of DeKalb; a brother, Willie C. Boyd of Sweetwater, Ala.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, and his parents.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Retired
Services for Vertis C. Roberts will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Unity Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrence Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Roberts, 76, of DeKalb, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at his home.
Survivors include his son, Millando Leonard Roberts of Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Adrienne Bradle and her husband, Lonnie, of Bay St. Louis; Beverly Watson and her husband, Leon, of Phoenix; and Victoria Smith and her husband, Willie, of Gulfport; three sisters, Julia I. Bailey of DeKalb; Mary I. Montgomery and Leepearl Walton of Flint; three brothers, Curtis Roberts, Everette Roberts and his wife, Annie, of Flint; and George Roberts and his wife, Mel, of DeKalb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Roberts, and his wife, Lois Roberts.
Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside services for Grace Fairchild will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fairchild, 80, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Infant
Graveside services for Eddie Michael Darnell Parker will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Savoy with the Rev. Anthony Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The infant, 11 months-old, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother, Kaycee Williams, his father, James Parker, his sister, Mary Parker, two brothers, James Parker Jr. and Ja'Quarius Williams, all of Meridian.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Aubrey George, 29, of Scooba, who died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Margie Lee Parker, 72, of Collinsville, who died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at her home.
