    OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, OCT. 9, 2001

    JEFF DAVID COLSTON
    QUITMAN Services for Jeff David Colston were held Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Kennedy and Ron Gilstrap officiating. Burial was in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Colston, 64, of Quitman, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Carol Lynn Colston of Quitman; three sons, William David Colston of Stone Mountain, Ga., Robert Lee Colston and John Lucas, both of Quitman; five daughters, Mary Ann Michael of Birmingham, Ala., Melanie Lynn Hamrick of Newton, Dianna Briggs of Scooba, Elaine Wolfe of Smiths Grove, Ky. and Kathy Richardson of Stonewall; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    GARRISON CLAYTON HAGAN
    Services for Garrison Clayton Hagan will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Church with the Rev. Kenny Pogue officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Infant Hagan, five days old, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham.
    Survivors include his parents, Tim and Niki Hagan and two brothers, Garrett Hagan and Gage Hagan, all of Meridian; his paternal grandparents, Roger and Charlotte Hagan of DeKalb; his maternal grandparents, Gale McCraw, Ken Stapp and his wife, Mary, all of Meridian; his great-grandparents, Clayton "Dale" Hagan of DeKalb, Inabelle Apperson of Meridian and Sara McGee and her husband, Jimmy, of Hickory; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    The family requests memorials be made to Pine Grove Missions.
    Pallbearers will be the deacons of Pine Grove Church.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WALTER B. WRIGHT
    Retired businessman
    Services for Walter B. Wright will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Wayne Riley and Archie McIntire officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mr. Wright, 71, of Lisman, Ala., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a member of Lisman Baptist Church, past member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He owned Five Points and Woodland Hills.
    Survivors include his wife, Jessie Wright of Lisman; three daughters, Wanda Atkinson and Sherry Cameron and her husband, Reed, all of Meridian, Patty Quinnelly and her husband, Jerry, of Athens, Ala.; two sons, Terry Wright of Ocean Springs and David Wright and his wife, Brenda, of Meridian; a sister, Jennie Vona of Conway, Ark.; grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Shane McNeill, Wayne Quinnelly, Scott Quinnelly, Jeremy Graham, Matthew Wright, Anthony Mann, Paul Mann and Anthony Wright; and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemon Wright and Willie Mae Clemons; a daughter, Brenda McKinney; and a brother, Jim Wright.
    The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
    Pallbearers will be Bruce Combs, Tal Duke, Johnny Jones, W.W. Williams, Carl Long and Glen Johnson.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIAM FORD SKINNER
    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for William Ford "Wimp" Skinner will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Carlisle officiating. Burial will be in Bonner Cemetery.
    Mr. Skinner, 69, of Toxey, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his son, William "Wimp" Skinner Jr. of Toxey; two daughters, Kathy Becton of Grand Bay and Jean Howard of Waynesboro; four brothers, C.W. Skinner of Toxey, Hulett Skinner of Wiggins, Ralph Skinner of Bay Minette and Buster Skinner of Toxey; three sisters, Virginia Boswell of Powder Springs, Ga., Nita Gilbert of Butler and Vera Nell Ford of Toxey; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    MINNIE VAUGHN
    Retired
    Graveside services for Minnie Vaughn will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Skelton officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Vaughn, 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. She was the retired head of housekeeping at Meridian Regional Hospital.
    Survivors include a son, Kelly Vaughn and his wife, Charlotte, of Meridian; two sisters, Eula Cook and Berniece Pratt, both of Meridian; a brother, H.R. "Sonny" Jones of Albertville, Ala.; two grandchildren, Christy Bennett and her husband, Ronnie, of Meridian, Chad Vaughn and his wife, Sela, of Big Rapids, Mich.; two great-grandchildren, Vaughn Bennett and Winston Bennett.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentis Vaughn.
    Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    EDDIE ZEOBIA MCMILLIAN KENNEDY

    Services for Eddie Zeobia "Sonny" McMillian Kennedy will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at East Galilee Baptist Church in Rose Hill with the Rev. David Bush officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Kennedy, 58, of West Point, N.Y., died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Glen Arden Healthcare Facility in Goshen, N.Y.
    Survivors include a daughter, Staff Sgt. Laura Bradley of West Point; his father, Willie McMillian of St. Louis; two brothers, Jack McGee of Bay Springs and Jerry McGee of Enterprise; six sisters, Clara Taylor of Enterprise, Annie Blunt, Eartha Davis and Rosie Lee Jones, all of Racine, Wis., Marlene McMillian of Minneapolis and Indria McMillian of St. Louis; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Christian Kennedy McGee.
    Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb for Jack Lamar Nelson, 73, of DeKalb, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at Neshoba General Hospital.
