WALLACE, SARTIN
Mr. and Mrs. Steven A. Wallace of Bogue Chitto announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica, to Gareth Sartin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Sartin Sr. of Tylertown.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 16, 2001, at 6 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church.
Miss Wallace is the granddaughter of Virginia F. Wallace and the late Edwin Wallace and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Davis, all of Bogue Chitto.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Bogue Chitto High School and Southwest Mississippi Community College. She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy with a doctorate degree in pharmacy.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Epsilon Pharmaceutical fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key and Rho Chi honor societies.
Miss Wallace is employed by Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Meridian.
Mr. Sartin is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ray Sartin Sr. of Tylertown and the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Felder of McComb.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Dexter High School and Southwest Mississippi Community College. He is a cum laude graduate of MSU with a bachelor of science degree in math education.
While attending MSU, he was a member of Kappa Delta Phi International Honor Society and Golden Key National Honor Society.
Mr. Sartin is employed as an math instructor and assistant football coach at Meridian High School.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
TIMBRELL, VAUGHN
Steve and Suzanne Timbrell of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Sela Alexis, to Chad Everett Vaughn, son of Kelly and Charlotte Vaughn of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 26, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of the bridegroom's parents.
Miss Timbrell is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Othel Miles and the late Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Timbrell, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in English, with a minor in marketing from the University of West Alabama.
While attending UWA, she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau national social sorority, Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society and the UWA Dance Team. She was listed in "Who's Who Among America's Colleges and Universities" and performed in the university's theatre productions.
Mr. Vaughn is the grandson of Lucille Calvert of Collinsville and the late Winston Calvert; Minnie Pearl Vaughn and the late Prentis Vaughn.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and received an associate degree in air conditioning and refrigeration from Shelton State Community College.
Mr. Vaughn is currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) engineering technology at Ferris State University.
While attending, SSCC, he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa national honor society and the University of Alabama Crew Team. He was also listed in "Who's Who Among American's Two-Year Colleges."
Mr. Vaughn is employed by The Service Company of Meridian.
A reception will be held following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
HART, ELLIS
Patricia Hart of Meridian announces the engagement of her daughter, Stephanie Nicole, to Kenyon Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Jones of Columbus.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 26, 2001, at 4 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Miss Hart is the granddaughter of Vivian Hart and Willie Hart Jr., both of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School, Meridian Community College and Mississippi State University. She has a degree in nursing.
While attending MCC, she was a member of the Organization of Student Nurses.
Miss Hart is employed with Dynacare Mississippi.
Mr. Ellis is the grandson of Lula Ellis of Columbus and the late Sylvester Ellis Sr.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Caldwell High School and East Mississippi Community College. While attending EMCC, he was a member of VICA.
Mr. Ellis is employed by BellSouth Communications.
A reception will be held in the church Family Life Center following the ceremony.
TAYLOR, SHAW
Mr. and Mrs. George Willard Taylor Jr. of Forest announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Dawn, to Brian Thomas Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Royce Shaw of Forest.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 16, 2001, at 4 p.m. at Forest Baptist Church.
Miss Taylor is the granddaughter of Elaine Taylor and the late George Taylor Sr. and the late Jack and Myrtle McMullan, all of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Forest High School and East Central Community College. She received a master of professional accountancy degree from Mississippi State University.
Miss Taylor is a member of the audit staff of Arthur Andersen, LLC, of Jackson.
Mr. Shaw is the grandson of Fannie Maude Shaw of Forest and the late Cleveland Shaw Grace Gilmer of Carthage and the late Herschel Gilmer.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Forest High School and East Central Community College. He received a bachelor of business administration degree in information systems from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Shaw is a network analyst with Mississippi Farm Bureau Insurance in Jackson.
A reception will be held in Trinity Hall of Forest Baptist Church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
WILSON, MCDADE
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Wilson of DeKalb announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Marie, to Robert Benjaman McDade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. McDade of Porterville.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 26, 2001, at 4 p.m. in Coy United Methodist Church in Preston.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Florine Luke of Preston and the late Herschal Luke; Marie L. Wilson of DeKalb and the late Elton F. Wilson.
Miss Wilson is a graduate of Kemper Academy, attended East Mississippi Community College and is a president's list scholar at Mississippi State University, Meridian Campus. She will graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education in May 2002.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Blanche Bryan of Scooba and the late Earnest Leo Bryan and the late Doris McDade and L.D. McDade of Porterville.
Mr. McDade is a graduate of Kemper Academy, East Mississippi Community College and is currently a dean's list scholar at Mississippi State University, Meridian Campus. He is scheduled to graduate with a degree in business administration in December 2001.
Mr. McDade is employed by McDade Oil Company.
A reception will be held in the Family Life Center following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception. No invitations will be sent locally.
