    OBITUARIES FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 28, 2001

    RONALD BRYAN GIBBON
    Owner of Gibbon Heating &Air Conditioning
    NEWTON Services for Ronald Bryan Gibbon were to be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Revs. John West, Clay Cooley and Steve Pouncy officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Gibbon, 51, of the Hero Community, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital. He was the owner of Gibbon Heating &Air Conditioning for the past 25 years. Mr. Gibbon was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard.
    Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Gibbon of Newton; five daughters, Tami Godwin and her husband, Roger, of Newton, Kerry Hutchinson and her husband, Matt, of Meridian, Stephanie Brown and her husband, Eric, of Mendenhall, Kim Norman and Carri Norman of Jackson; his parents, Lucille and Billy Gibbon of Newton; three sisters, Cynda Barfield and her husband, Wick, of Baton Rouge, La., Rita Gibbon of Birmingham, Ala., and Cheryl DuBose and her husband, Phillip, of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Keith Gibbon and his wife, Judy, of Newton and Wayne Johnson and his wife, Amy, of Jackson; three grandchildren, Taylor and Landrey Godwin of Newton and Sydney Brown of Mendenhall.
    Pallbearers will be Chris Thompson, Keith Herrington, Jason Dyess, Jimmy Dyess, Joe Dyess and Joe Williams.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Todd, Chris Shimfessel, Frank Shimfessel, Claude Beason, Dan Williams and Billy Harris.
    MARIE TILLER
    Housekeeper
    DEKALB Services for Marie Tiller will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. L.C. Clay officiating. Burial will be in Bodka Valley Cemetery in Electric Mills with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Tiller, 79, of Scooba, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Mississippi Care Center.
    Survivors include a brother, Ed Tiller of Scooba and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.
    GEORGE GRACE
    Services for George Grace will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Oakland Baptist Church in Crawford with the Rev. Joe Bowens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Grace, 61, of Tampa, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, in Tampa.
    Survivors include a brother, Caleb Grace of DeKalb; two sisters, Ophelia Waits and Ida Mae Grace, both of Flint, Mich.; and a son, James White of West Point.
    Visitation will be Thursday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JIMMIE SULTON
    Homemaker
    Services for Jimmie Sulton will be held Saturday at noon at St. Matthew Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Bates officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Miss Sulton, 64, of Meridian, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her son, James Sulton of Long View, Texas, and two grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    HATTIE DRAKE
    Homemaker
    Services for Hattie Drake will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church with the Rev. Daryl Fluker officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Drake, 95, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mary Drake Vargas of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Dan Drake of Meridian; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Friday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    DONNA KAY FULTON CLEGG
    Memorial services for Donna Kay Fulton Clegg will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Mediator in Meridian. Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Clegg, 58, of Santa Rosa, Calif., died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, in Santa Rosa. She was born in Yazoo City and raised in Meridian. She had resided in Sonoma County, Calif., for 34 years.
    Survivors include her husband, James E. Clegg Jr., M.D.; two daughters, Lisa C. Bartlett and Laura Clegg of Santa Rosa; her mother, J.N. "Candy" Reeb of Meridian; three brothers, N. Douglas Fulton of Summerville, S.C., Ronnie G. Fulton of Jackson and Gary R. Williams of Meridian; and four grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Niles B. Fulton.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the Episcopal Church of the Mediator.
    MAGGIE M. HUDSON
    Services for Maggie M. Hudson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Hudson, 75, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Roberts, Carolyn Larkin and Debbie Hudson, and a son, Earl Hudson, all of Meridian; three sisters, Ivory Lee Hearn of Cleveland, Ohio, Flora Mae Brown of Meridian and Annie Mae Bourrage of Marion; four brothers, Junior D. Brown of Bailey, Otis Brown, John L. Brown and Willie L. Brown, all of Meridian; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
    Visitation will be Saturday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Anita F. Couch, 82, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Geneva Blackwell, 70, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    RUFUS GRADY
    Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb for Rufus "Dick" Grady, 74, of DeKalb, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    SUSIE SWAIN
    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Susie Swain, 80, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in her home.
