Lucille Cannon, 82, of Gadsden passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010.

Mrs. Cannon was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School.  She was Registered Nurse, and served as Inservice Director at Russellville Hospital.  She was a world traveler and loved Broadway musicals.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 30, 2010, at Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Mrs. Cannon’s nephew, Pastor Kenneth Strickland officiating. Burial services followed at Forrest Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert Lee Cannon

Mrs. Cannon is survived by her four daughters, Cassandra and husband, Kenneth Kilgore of McCalla, Ala., Janet and husband, Stanley Bailey of Birmingham, Pam and husband, Neal Taylor of Russellville, and Delisa Tease of Russellville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty and husband, Jack Kirk of Gadsden, Patsy and husband, Earl Smith of Gadsden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included sons-in-law and grandsons; Kenneth Kilgore, Stanley Bailey, Neal Taylor, Robert Cannon Bailey, Abraham Goggans, Daniel Goggans, Joseph Goggans, and Pat Jarrett.
