Belgreen welcomes Santa for cookie party
Belgreen Elementary School is hosting its annual Cookies with Santa event Nov. 29 from 6-8 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Cookies with Santa is open for pre-K through sixth-graders, and there will be goodies for parents and adults as well. Admission will be $1 and includes a ticket for the door prize drawings.
“On the day of the event, if they bring a pack of cookies, they’ll get a free ticket and entry,” PTO President Heather King said.
Door prizes will be items children and parents can enjoy, King said.
There will also be an auction for special gift baskets each grade has made, starting at 7:30 p.m.
“Instead of a silent auction, we decided to do an actual auction,” King said.
The baskets are themed and include Couple’s Getaway, Home Improvement, Movie, Chocolate, Staycation, Gift Card and Family.
Teachers will be doing crafts like coloring pages and ornaments with their students for the event.
Each grade will be performing a Christmas song that night. Starting at 6:30 p.m. students will perform classic Christmas tunes like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”
Students will also get the chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus throughout the night.
