Martha Jean “Jenny” Hensley, 69, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2011, at her residence with her family around her.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 30, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Lumpkin officiating. Burial was in Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackleburg, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheeler and Frances Scott; son, JoJo Hensley; brother, Bobby Scott; sister, Shirley Scott; son-in-law, Sammy Odom.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joey Hensley; children, Michael Pennington and wife, Lavonda, Phillip Pennington, Michelle Odom Jack and her husband, Keith, Patricia Rogers and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Brandi Williams, Tyrus Odom, Chasity Odom, Blake Pennington, Corey Odom, Hailey Rogers, Cody Rogers; great-grandchildren, Braden Williams, Bryleigh Williams, Slade Odom, Chance Pennington, Lila Odom (on the way); sister, Yvonne Seahorn and her husband, Avis ; brothers, Johnny Mack Scott, Jeff Scott and his wife, Kellie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, Christy, Jennifer and Kevin, the nurses at Helen Keller Community and and the Colbert County Health Life Care Department.
