Residents enjoy 9 inch snowfall
This week, Franklin County residents have been able to enjoy the nine inches of snow that blanketed the county Sunday night.
For many residents, this is the most snowfall that has ever been seen in this area and the Franklin County Times readers were ready to take advantage of the rare event.
Some residents had fun taking part in the traditional snow activities like sledding and making snowmen. Others enjoyed activities that were a little different than the norm.
Whatever the activity was, these Franklin County residents won’t forget this “Alabama Blizzard.”
“On Monday, the Gordons, Wallaces, Bennetts and the Logans had so much fun riding four wheelers and pulling our sleds. The kids were super to make sure everyone got a turn, including the adults. I enjoyed seeing my kids have fun with each other along with other younger kids.”

We had a wonderful day with our neighbors. We built a snowman, had an awesome snowball fight and made snow angles. Oh. I can’t forget the never ending bowl of snow cream! My sweet husband, Shane, got the four wheeler out and our friends had a kneeboard and ski rope so we hooked it up and he pulled everyone around all day. The kids and adults had a blast. We truly have some of the best neighbors in the world. We made memories to last a lifetime with our kids,
