Irland Jessie Borden, 87, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Orbie Pierce and Rev. Bobby Duncan officiating. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings; one grandson, Bradley Barnwell; one son-in-law, Danny Carter.
He is survived by his wife Jerrilean Borden; daughters: Carolyn Steward and husband, Elmer, Faye Mason and husband, Troy, Frances Barnwell and Cynthia Carter; one sister, one brother; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Borden worked many years as a carpenter. He was a Deacon of Edgar Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
