R.C. Barrett, 77, of Red Bay passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.  He was born November 24, 1932 in Franklin County, Ala. to Luster and Ada Hall Barrett. He was a cattle farmer for 50 years and was a Baptist.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Burial was in Berry Cemetery in Vina.  

He is survived by one sister, Arva Nell Barrett, of Red Bay; two nieces, Donna Criswell, of Red Bay and Shelia Livingston, of St. Louis, Mo.; one nephew, J.L. Barrett, of Red Bay; and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, J.B. Barrett.

Pallbearers were Ralph Winchester, Jimmy Higginbottom, Charles Ezzell, Junior Scott, Wilbur McKinney and Robert Beam.
