Betty Jo Hester, 79, of Red Bay, passed away Oct. 17, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 8, 1931 in Old Burleson, Ala. to Bryce and Minnie Nelson Hester, Sr.  She was a factory worker for 33 years and attended the Church of Christ.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Arthur Hardin officiating. Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery in Vina.

She is survived by one sister, Ruby Mullins, of Vina; one brother, B.B. Hester, Jr., of Vina; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cecil Hester; and three sisters, Virginia Throgmorton, Sibyle Tharp and Charlene Moore.
