Brantley, McNees

Stephanie Paige McNees of Millport, Ala., and William Lundy Brantley of Philadelphia were married Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Millport Baptist Church with the Rev. Nick Cannady officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Rhett McNees of Millport, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brantley of Philadelphia.
Grandparents of the bride are Evelyn Gilliam of Millport and the late Winfred Gilliam; Wynona McNees of Sylacauga, Ala., and the late Dewitt McNees.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mavis Lashley and the late Charles Lashley and Mr. and Mrs. Marzine Brantley, all of Philadelphia.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Trudy Gildea, violinist; Diane Ford, violinist; John Boates, recorder; and Tonya Pennington, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white matte satin. The fitted sleeveless empire bodice featured satin corded straps and was embellished with beaded Alencon lace appliques.
Maid of honor was Tori Mordecai of Columbus. Other attendants were Mary Kathryn Byars of Mobile, Ala., Summer Blakeney of Birmingham, Ala., Susan Johnson of Symrna, Ga., Emmy Majure of Philadelphia, Allison Woolbright and Alexandra Woolbright, both of Columbus.
Loreanna McKinney of Millport was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Mark Majure and Brad Moody, both of Philadelphia, Steven McNees of Birmingham, Michael Weaver of Sebastopol and Wade Phillips of Meridian.
Program attendants were Matthew Byars and Kenneth Woolbright.
A reception was held at Millport Civic Center following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple resides in Philadelphia.
