Clarke man to serve five years

QUITMAN  A Clarke County man will serve five years in prison following his plea Monday to sexual battery.
George Scott Etheridge, 41, of Enterprise pled guilty to the charge in February. Circuit Judge Larry Roberts sentenced Etheridge to 15 years, and then suspended all but five years. After he finishes his prison sentence, he will be on probation for 10 years.
Etheridge was also ordered to pay $6,846 in fines and court costs.
