Betty Carolyn Garrison Gardner, 75, of Montevallo, formerly of Franklin County, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Gardner was a native of Franklin County but had lived in Montevallo for the past seven years. She was a member of Jemison First Baptist Church and was a retired insurance agent for State Farm Insurance.

The funeral service was Monday, June 10, 2013, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Gray Rock Cemetery, Russellville. Officiating was Curtis Taylor.

She is survived by daughter, Karen Gardner Neal, Calera; grandson, Taylor Neal and wife, Kimberley; great-grandson, Lucas Neal; special friend of 65 years, Donald B. Hatcher, Montevallo; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, Stonewall J. and Nancy Kennedy Garrison; husband, Billy Gene Gardner; son-in-law, Neal Allen Neal.
