Bessie Aileen McGuire, 90, Russellville, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Burns Nursing Home.

The visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Johnny Hood. Burial will be at Tharptown Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward “Sonny” McGuire; children, William McGuire, Carolyn McGuire, Esther Faye McAnally, Donnie Ray McGuire; parents, Henry and Sarah Hines; six brothers; two sisters; and great-grandson, Romie Grisby.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Vicki Grisby and husband, David, of Florence, Angie Burcham and husband, David, of Phil Campbell, Paul McGuire and wife, Michelle, of Sheffield, Lee McGuire of Russellville; great-grandchildren, Justin Medley, Bethany King and husband, Dustan, Ashley Grimes and husband, Jonathan, Matthew Grigsby, Christy Gist and husband, Michael, Amber McGuire, Katie McGuire, Travis McGuire, Lindsey McGuire; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Odie Hines, of Russellville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be David Burcham, David Grigsby, Lee McGuire, Jonathan Grimes, Dustan King and Eric Bryant. The honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Grisby and Justin Medley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Burns Nursing Home, Hospice of North Alabama, and the Order of Eastern Star 256 for all the kindness and love shown.
