Calendar of Events

July 13–18 – Grace Baptist Church VBS, 6–8:30 p.m., 501 East Florence St., Russellville. Open to all ages.

July 16–18 – Cedars Church VBS, 6–8:30 p.m. Cedars Church, located at 109 W. Lawrence St, Russellville, is holding a Vacation Bible School with the theme “God’s Great Galaxy.” Register via the Cedars Church app.

July 19 – Crooked Oak Baptist Church VBS, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., one day only. Includes lunch, bounce house, and waterslide. Bring a swimsuit and a towel.

July 19, 2025 – Spruce Pine Car Show and Bean Dinner – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Why Knot Show ’Em Off Car Shows & Cruise-Ins will host a car show from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Spruce Pine Community Center. All cars, trucks, bikes, and rat rods are welcome. $20 registration fee. Door prizes and a 50/50 drawing will be held. A bean dinner benefiting the Spruce Pine Historical Society will be served starting at 11 a.m. Plates are $5 each. Everyone is welcome. For information, call 256668-2585.
