Pictures with Santa set for Thursday

By Staff

The Russellville Fire Department is making their last arrangements for Santa Claus as he rolls into town Thursday night.
Families from all over the community are encouraged to come down to Russellville City Hall between 4 and 7 p.m. and get their child’s picture taken with jolly Saint Nick.
Donations for the ‘Helping Santa’ program will also be taken. The deadline for that program is Friday.
Russellville Fire Captain Randy Seal said donations have picked up a little in recent days.
The program hopes to be able to provide for all the families that show up needing help. Seal said they would do everything in their power to help those less fortunate families this year.
Seal believes if they are aware of this need the community will come through in the end and provide for these families. The day for gift pick up is scheduled for next week. Phone calls will be made to those families who qualify for aid this Christmas.
