Local 14-and-under team wins NSA

The Franklin County Heat, a 14-and-under travel softball team, won the National Softball Association championship tournament this summer. The team also claimed the 18-and-under Phil Campbell tournament championship and finished fourth in the NSA All-Stars tournament.
"I want to congratulate and thank all the girls, parents and assistant coaches for a great season," said Heat head coach Mark Mitchell.
