Southern Rural gives gifts to Quinn's Ranch

By Staff
Melissa Dozier-Cason, FCT staff writer
In lieu of exchanging gifts amongst themselves this year, the employees at Southern Rural Healthcare decided to provide the residents at Quinn's Ranch with gifts.
The Christmas Committee, made up of six employees, planned a luncheon party for the employees. The employees brought in gifts for the children at the ranch, Kathy Hall, committee member, said.
"We have collected about 35 gifts for the Ranch, who currently has three residents living there," Hall said.
The Quinn's Ranch is a Christian Children's home for boys who have been abused, neglected, abandoned or left homeless. The ranch is a privately funded home, and placements are not done through the Department of Human Resources, Dawn Mason, ranch assistant, said.
The ranch can house up to 10 children, and they currently have openings for four children available, Mason said.
"We are looking into having those positions filled with two children from Marion County, and two from Franklin County," Mason said.
