The Russellville Fire Department is currently in need of volunteers to help fill its staff.
Lt. Denny Davis said they currently have four to five active volunteers, but typically like to have 10 to help fill out shifts with the full-time fire fighters.
Davis said the Russellville FD hosts about two training sessions per month to help teach the volunteers what they will need to know.
"It's tough to find people that have that free time that they'll give up to train," he said.
There are no requirements to join the department, but Davis said some prior experience or training would be helpful.
"What we really are looking for are people that are interested in fire fighting," he said. "We can teach them the skills they need."
Applications are available at both fire station one and two.
