McWilliams leads Lady Tigers past Haleyville

Chelsey McWilliams scored the go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter and finished with a game-high 24 points on Tuesday as Red Bay edged Haleyville 55-51.
The game was tied 51-51 when McWilliams gathered in a loose ball and made a layup to put the Lady Tigers (3-5) up by two.
Morgan Duncan added a pair of clutch free throws to help seal the win for Red Bay.
Duncan finished with 13 points, and Brittany Scott and Kirsten Sharp each had six.
The Lady Tigers led 12-8 after one quarter, but Haleyville (7-2) rallied to take a 23-22 lead into halftime.
The Lady Lions led by two going into the fourth quarter before Red Bay rallied to earn the win.
Logan Tedder led Haleyville with 22 points, and Katti Miller added 11.
Red Bay will travel to face Belgreen tonight.

Phil Campbell 78 Colbert Heights 38
Shelly Cooper scored 15 of her career-high 29 points in the first quarter as Phil Campbell started fast in Tuesday's rout.
Cooper made three three-pointers in the opening quarter, helping the Lady Bobcats (5-5) jump out to a 31-6 lead.
Phil Campbell led 43-14 at the half and 65-29 after three quarters.
Chasity Morgan added 18 points and Caitlin Stancil had 17 for the Lady Bobcats. Jessica Taylor added eight.
Phil Campbell will host Cherokee tonight in a Class 2A, Area 16 battle.
Covenant Christian 44 Vina 35
Jesse Norwood led Vina with 10 points in Tuesday's Class 1A, Area 16 loss.
The Lady Red Devils led by two after one quarter, but Covenant rallied to take a 24-18 lead into the half.
Vina trimmed the lead to five before being out-scored 9-5 in the fourth quarter.
Heather Holland and LeShe McGee each added eight points for Vina.
Katie Montgomery led Covenant with 15 points, and Crystin Johnson had 10.
Vina will play another area game tonight at Waterloo.
