Relay for Life names 2005 chairman

Diane Burnham with Citizens National Bank will serves as the 2005 chairman for Relay for Life.
Burnham has been a Relay for Life team leader for the past 10 years. She said looks forward to her new role, but said she can't do it without help from the community.
Relay for Life's 2004 chairman, Becky Vance, made the announcement of Burnham's appointment during a news conference Monday at the Jeff Anderson Regional Cancer Center.
Vance also presented awards to local media for their support of Relay for Life.
Team Excellence Awards were presented to A&B Electric, Mississippi Power Co. and Weems Community Mental Health Center Adult Therapists for single teams that raised more than $10,000.
The Heart of Relay Award for Cancer Control went to "Look Good…Feel Better" volunteers for holding a patient session at the Relay for Life event.
Vance praised all volunteers and teams for their performance.
