Loyd Farrell Alexander, age 63, of Moulton, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Alexander was born in Lawrence County and was a member of Landersville Church of Christ. He was a Job Setter for Delphi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Pelham Alexander and Natha Alga Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Landersville Church of Christ with Don Layman and Harold Martin officiating. Interment will be in Landersville Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander is survived by two sons, Loyd Farrell Alexander, Jr. of Moulton, and Don Clifton Alexander of Moulton; two daughters, Tina Louise Alexander of Moulton and Natha Michelle Norton of Moulton; a brother, Milton Wayne Alexander of Russellville; a sister, Tula Carolyn Ergle of Phil Campbell; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Judy Pickett Creamer, age 79, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2004, at UAB Hospital.
Mrs. Creamer lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She retired from the Department of Agriculture Farmers Home Administration after 36 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Creamer.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2004, at First United Methodist Church of Russellville with Bro. Clint Busler and Bro. Alan Beasley officiating. Interment was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Mrs. Creamer is survived by a daughter, Cindy Taylor and husband Sammy, of Muscle Shoals; a brother, Tommy Pickett of Russellville; five sisters, Frances Grant of Russellville, Betty Alsbrooks of Russellville, Pat Waldrop of Fayetteville, Georgia, Peggy Olive of Russellville, and Sarah Thompson of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
David DeWayne Gilbert, age 47, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2004.
Mr. Gilbert was a native of Franklin County. He was an O.S.H.A. instructor with the Tennessee Valley Training Center. He was a member of Summerville Road Church of Christ, the Muscle Shoals Health and Safety Association, and the UNA Sportsman Club. Mr. Gilbert was an avid golfer and a dedicated supporter of the Muscle Shoals High School Band. He loved Alabama football and enjoyed singing and motorcycle riding.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Morrison Funeral Home chapel with Gary Patton officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Lance Richardson, Gregg Richardson, Jason Pierce, Jared Pierce, Lucas Gilbert and Bruce Davis. Honorary bearers were Dean Lesley and Mike Howard.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by a son, D. Bradley Gilbert of Muscle Shoals; a daughter, LeAnne Gilbert of Muscle Shoals; the mother of LeAnne and Bradley, Lynn Gilbert; his parents, Carl and Opal Gilbert of Russellville; two brothers, DeWyatt Gilbert and wife Karen, of Spruce Pine, and Kerry Gilbert of Muscle Shoals; a sister, Shelia Pierce and husband Carl, of Spruce Pine; his grandmother, Grace Hughes of Spruce Pine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Morrison Funeral Home assisted the family.
Annie Laura Hester, age 90, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004.
Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Hester; her parents, Oscar Skidmore and Maud Willis Skidmore; and three grandchildren, Tommy Britton and two infants.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeff Flemings officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Hester's grandsons.
Mrs. Hester is survived by six daughters, Mary Jo Britton, Betty Cantrell, Dorothy Oliver, Marjorie Steele, Carolyn White and Jennifer Butler; two sons, Mike Hester and Rickie Hester; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Terrace Manor Nursing Home in Russellville for the loving care shown to their mother.

Olene Morgan, age 74, of Collinsville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Morgan was formerly of Haleyville, but she had lived in Collinsville for the past 30 years. She was a member of Jesus New Covenant Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arron and Cora Kelley; her husband, J.C. Morgan; a sister, Othal Hurt; and five brothers, Coleman Kelley, Sylvester Kelley, Edward Kelley, Chester Kelley and E.L. Kelley.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with Bro. Autry Barnhill officiating. Interment was in Ireland Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by a son, J.C. Morgan, Jr. and wife Patricia, of Haleyville; three sisters, Maejean Wilson and Shirley Grainger of Haleyville, and Lois Carpenter of Collinsville; a brother, N.B. Kelley of Haleyville; a special friend, Arnold Lackey of Collinsville; and two grandchildren, Leila S. Morgan and Jason Leon Morgan.

Thomas Stanley Spiller, age 75, of Phil Campbell, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004.
Mr. Spiller served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillard D. and Fannie Jeanette Spiller; and a brother, Hollis Spiller.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Mark Daniels officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
Mr. Spiller is survived by two brothers, George Spiller of Phil Campbell and Stacy Spiller of Atlanta; a sister, Jeanette Golson of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Vina "Louise" Duncan Weeks, age 63, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Weeks lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Duncan; and a sister, Betty Michael.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home with Jim Lumpkin officiating. Interment was in Belgreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Weeks is survived by five children, Donnie Penick and wife Dina, of Russellville, James Penick and wife Sheila, of Hartselle, Frankie Penick of Russellville, Tina Doyle and husband Bobby, of Russellville, and Tammy Garrard and husband Johnny, of Haleyville; four brothers, Billy Duncan, Wilmer Duncan, Dexter Duncan and Travis Duncan, all of Russellville; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
John Williams, age 79, of Haleyville, passed away Friday, October 8, 2004, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Williams and Dora Jones Williams; his wife, Lois Williams; a daughter, Cathy Hildreth; a step-son, Jimmy Bates; two sisters, Gussie Gietme and June Worth; and three brothers, Curtis Williams, R.C. Williams, and Hoover Williams.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 10, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home with Gary Wakefield officiating.
Mr. Williams is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Mills and husband Danny, of Haleyville; two step-children, Bivian Newborn and Vonda Rose, both of Corinth, Mississippi; a sister, Shirley Marlar of Humboldt, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Karen Saint, Samantha Mills and Tara Williams Hildreth; two great-grandchildren, Kendra Saint and Korey Saint; two step-grandchildren, Donna Putman and Tommy Rose; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
