Absentee ballot deadline is Oct. 30

Time is running out to cast ballots for the Nov. 2 general election.
Absentee ballots are available in the Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk's office from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. They also will be available from 8 a.m.-noon the last two Saturdays of the month, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30.
The deadline to file absentee ballots is noon Oct. 30.
Absentee voting is mainly for people who will be unable to go to their voting precinct on election day.
Absentee voters can include people who will be away on vacation, people who work out of town, college students, traveling salespeople and truck drivers.
