Fortenberry, Montgomery

Wayne and Karen Fortenberry of Purvis announce the engagement of their daughter, Dionicia Angelina "Dee Dee," to Mark Edward Montgomery, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Montgomery of Picayune.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the New Salvation Army Chapel on Highway 49 South in Hattiesburg.
Miss Fortenberry is the granddaughter of Retired Brig. Gen. Theodore S. Stuart of Hattiesburg and the late Virginia Stuart, and Jimmie K. Fortenberry of Columbia and the late Charles M. Fortenberry.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in education from William Carey College.
While attending William Carey College, she was a member of SGA, Carey Connection and the Baptist Student Union. She was also 1996 Homecoming Queen and Miss William Carey College.
Miss Fortenberry is employed by the Biloxi School District as a teacher and coach.
Mr. Montgomery is the grandson of Herman and Mary Margaret Shacklett of Diamond Head, and the late Lula Montgomery and A.H. Montgomery of Picayune.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Pearl River Central High School and received a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and a master's degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, he was a four-year member of the USM Golden Eagle Football Team and was 1994 team captain. He graduated as the fifth all-time leading receiver.
Mr. Montgomery will be employed as girls basketball coach at St. Martin High School.
A reception will be at the Salvation Army Chapel Reception Hall following the ceremony.
