Local author helps promote Beef Month

On October 24, the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association hosted a book signing at the Russellville Public Library offering the opportunity for the community to meet Madeline Cooper, as well as receive an autographed copy of her book.

“The Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association takes great joy in partnering with Madeline Cooper to help promote her new book, ‘Just a Girl and her Cow,’ which tells her authentic story of a childhood animal and of how it inspired her to accomplish greatness,” explained Michael Pounders, president of the FCCA.

Cooper described the experience of having the book signing as “wonderful.”

“So many children and adults came to have their books signed or have them signed for their children and grandchildren,” she added. “I was able to meet and connect with so many children from the ‘Cowboys in the Classroom’ program that the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association has supported throughout October.”

Cooper said she is “so thankful” for the support she’s received from her hometown, as well as the the RPL and the FCCA for what they’ve done to help promote her story. “I hope young minds are uplifted and inspired by reading ‘Just a Girl and Her Cow,” Cooper continued. “Also, a special thanks to the Franklin County Cattlemen for providing books to give out to the children and Russellville Public Library for graciously hosting us and providing snacks and decor. I am so blessed!”
