US-43 traffic lights in front of Walmart malfunctioning

Earlier this afternoon, the Russellville Police Department reported on their Facebook page that the traffic lights on US-43 in front of Walmart in Russellville have malfunctioned and will be flashing until repaired. They said the current best estimate they were provided with is that the lights will be repaired sometime Monday.

Per RPD’s post:

“US-43 northbound and southbound traffic will have flashing yellow lights. The northbound and southbound traffic is not required to stop but should use caution while crossing through the intersection.

All other traffic at that intersection will have flashing red lights. That traffic is required to stop and should only enter the intersection when clear. Be sure to watch for oncoming northbound and southbound traffic that is not required to stop.”
