MACON Services for Rachel Butler Weaver will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Soule Harbour Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak with the Revs. Gerald Butler and Bobby Joe Butler officiating. Burial will be in Shuqualak Cemetery with Cockrell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Weaver, 85, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in Noxubee General Hospital in Macon.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Lynn Knight of Brooksville; a son, Bobby Joe Weaver of Shuqualak; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Weaver; and a son, Phillip Weaver.
The family requests memorials be made to Soule Harbour Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Teacher, city employee
Services for Susan Weaver will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Sepus Garrett and Jimmie Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ms. Weaver, 52, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Lauderdale County. She was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church where she worked with the youth group and sang in the choir. Ms. Weaver taught special education at West Hills Elementary School and worked with the Meridian Waste Water Plant.
Survivors include her children, Shauna Kay Fisher and her husband, Brad, of Toledo, Ohio; and Donald Lloyd Weaver of Meridian; her faithful friend and companion, Terry Aldridge of Meridian; her mother, Opal Jennings of Meridian; a sister, Debby Warriner and her husband, Chuck, of Madison; a brother, Doug Jennings and his wife, Mary Michael, of Andalusia, Ala.; nieces, Elizabeth Ann Bass and her husband, Randy, Sarah Bullock and her husband, Jonathan, Laura Warriner and Carrie Warriner; nephews, Douglas Jennings and David Jennings; great-niece and nephew, Jordan and Dylan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Jennings; grandparents, Dr. Leonard and Elva Paris, and Henry and Addie Jennings.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired civil service
Service for Sam D. Payne will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl T. Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Payne, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church, the Chickasawhay Ramblers and a Master Mason. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp. and served in the Pacific and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired civil service employee from NAS Meridian.
Survivors include his son, Glen Payne and his wife, Leslie, of Bailey; a daughter, Faye Mathis and her husband, Doug, of Meridian; grandchildren, Michael, Robert and Sherrie Payne, Stacy and Matthew Lundy, Ben Patterson, Matt Patterson, Kevin and Kelli Mathis; great-grandchildren, Jordan Payne, Lauren and Jacqueline Patterson; a brother, Noland Payne and his wife, Carmalene, of Meridian; a sister, Louise Bullock and her husband, Lloyd, of Meridian; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bea Payne; and a son-in-law, Richard Patterson.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Freddie Mae Reynolds, 73, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, in her home.
